Old School.

I wanted to share with you this cute little dress I made. It was the first dress like this that I have made. I wanted to make it so I could learn to make something with a collar and sleeves! I am so excited because it turned out just perfectly! It reminds me of the things my Mom made for me when I was little. The fabric I chose was a tiny pink and green floral and to me looks very vintage. It has a white pique collar with green piping. It is a size 2, and on sale for $47. This dress can also be made in any size in your choice of fabric. Please let me know what you think! Comments always welcome.

Baby showers!

I am so excited to finally get to share some things that I made for my sister for some of her best friends baby showers. I didn't want to put them on here before the showers just in case the sweet girls saw them on here first. Gifts are a lot more fun when they are a surprise.
First was Heather's shower. She is a great friend of Beth's and is the talented photographer who took Beth's maternity pictures and Lee's newborn pictures. Check out her website www.heathercampbellphotography.com

My family absolutely loves all the photos she has taken, so I was excited to use my talents to make something for her little one. We decided to make her a bubble for summer time, that is similar to one we made Lee for last summer. It turned out very cute, and I really hope they enjoy it.

It is a 6 month bubble made of seersucker with crabs on it. It is lined in red gingham.

The next shower was for Beth's friend Rachel. She is having her first little boy, and are also big Alabama fans so Beth wanted to make him an outfit for football season next year. I made him a 12 month Johnny in red corduroy. It is reversible to red gingham. On the gingham side we appliquéd a football, and on the corduroy side we monogrammed his name. It turned out really cute!

I also had another craft project going on. I have made some burlap door hangers just for my family in the past, so beth and I decided to make one for decoration at Rachel's shower. We decided to make it look like a baby rattle that says "Its a Boy!" It was fun to make and turned out really cute. What do y'all think?

I had a lot of fun making all these things, and cannot wait to see Rachel and Heather's little ones in these outfits. Hope y'all enjoy.

As always if anyone wants to order one of these outfits or something similar feel free to leave a comment or send us an email!

Leigh Ann

Christmas/anytime dress

I am not a parent, but love finding ways to use things more than once, and I think most parents do to. My friend Meredith showed me a dress she bought for her sweet niece. I thought it was so cute and such a great idea. I know people want their kids to have special Christmas outfits, but hate the idea of spending the money on an outfit their kids for a few weeks and then it will be too small next year. Frustrating!
This dress is made of green corduroy and lined in green gingham. It has buttonholes about two inches above the hem of the dress so you can weave a ribbon in it. At Christmas time you can weave a red and white polka dot ribbon, and after you can put a pink and white polka dot ribbon for a cute girly look.

I was also thinking of making one out of red corduroy too. You could use a green and white polka dot ribbon at Christmas and then use a pink ribbon with hearts for Valentines day.
I wanted to make a sample first to see what people thought. This was really simple to make, but doing all the button holes got annoying. I think it was a total of 15 buttonholes lots of fun. I also used covered buttons, so the buttons are covered in green corduroy so they don't distract from the rest of the dress.
This sample is for sale, for $40. It is a size 3, and can be made any any size 12 months and up. It comes with the 2 ribbons pictured, but you can add any one inch ribbon. Easy to get creative. Please contact us if you want to buy this dress, or us to make one in red or green.
